Jessie Cartagena

Originally from Japan, at 13 years old she began playing the guitar, singing, and composing songs. Her inspiration came from a Japanese singer/songwriter named “The Water of Life”.

Jessie moved to Tokyo after Junior High School to study music. While attending school, at 17 years old, she signed a contract with a well-known artist management agency in Tokyo. Jessie began working as a singer/songwriter, composer, recording artist, providing songs to other artist/musicians and performing in various venues and TV shows.

In 2010, she moved to New York City. She has since then joined a number of bands as a guitarist and bassist. Through 2015-2016, Jessie was the in-house band in Señor Frog’s Time Square location and performed as a guitarist every night.
